Manufacturing capability

Fabric Sourcing for Custom Men's Apparel

Choose fabric type, weight, stretch, handfeel and wash direction before sampling men's hoodies, T-shirts, pants, denim or streetwear sets.

Manufacturing brief

Turn a fabric reference into a sample-ready sourcing brief.

Jiashun helps buyers translate swatches, reference garments and tech-pack fabric notes into practical sourcing options for custom men's apparel. The goal is to align fabric type, weight, handfeel, shrinkage risk and decoration compatibility before sample development.

Production checks

What to confirm before bulk production.

  1. 01

Review fabric type, GSM, stretch, surface handfeel and colour direction before quote.

  2. 02

Match fabric choice to garment type such as hoodie fleece, T-shirt jersey, denim or nylon.

  3. 03

Confirm whether the chosen fabric supports printing, embroidery, washing or garment dye.

  4. 04

Use sample review to check drape, shrinkage, handfeel and buyer approval before bulk.

  5. 05

Request OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Class I) certified fabric options or GRS-certified recycled fabrics where the program requires them.

FAQ

Questions before sending a manufacturing brief.

Can Jiashun help choose fabric if I only have a reference garment?

Yes. You can send a reference garment, photo, swatch or tech-pack note. Jiashun will confirm feasible fabric directions before sampling.

Do fabric choices affect MOQ or lead time?

Yes. Stock fabrics are usually simpler, while special weights, colours, washes or trims can affect MOQ, sample timing and bulk lead time.

What GSM should I choose for hoodies and tees?

350-500 gsm is the heavyweight hoodie range we run most; 250-300 gsm is the heavyweight tee zone, and lighter builds go down to 180 gsm. Weight is only one axis — knit density and fiber content decide how the number actually feels.

Can you source fabric to match a swatch?

Yes — send the swatch or the garment it came from. We match composition, weight and hand as closely as mill options allow and send counter-swatches with the quote for approval.

Can Jiashun supply certified fabrics?

Yes. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Class I) certified fabric options and GRS-certified recycled fabrics are available — state the requirement in the project brief alongside fabric type and weight.
